Basketball Hell Week Revealed
By Sloane Benson
It was Hell Week for boys’ and girls’ basketball! We're going into detail about what it's really like during Hell Week, and what to expect when your sport is approaching.
Girls’ Hell Week
Addie Alberts, a freshman who has a sprained ankle and is watching the girls participate says that “the girls are getting a lot faster, and it encourages a good work ethic.” Katriel Boyle, a freshman currently participating in Hell Week, shared too: “It was good watching the team grow, not just skill-wise, but also closer as a team! Can't wait for the season!” We interviewed a few other girls, and noticed a common theme that this past week helped them grow as a team and get much stronger.
Boys’ Hell Week
Charlie Kelker, a sophomore, says “We got in good condition on the track and we started to learn our plays.” Sam Masco, a freshman, thinks that “Hell Week bettered the team in the way that is conditioning us and disciplining the team for the season to come. My personal experience with it was hard and competitive- the practices were designed to make us run the whole time while playing.” All in all, we can see from the determination and work ethic these boys had this past week that the season to come should be very exciting!
Congrats on a great week and have a great season Cougars basketball!
